Still married to High School sweetheart, Maryjo Lolis from Herricks HS. We somehow created three wonderful children who blessed us with four grandchildren. Everyone lives on Long Island close to Huntington where Maryjo and I moved recently. I became a Civil Engineer having graduated Manhattan College 1973 with a BS in Civil (Picture soon)Engineering, and graduated Pace University in 1984 with a MBA. As a Director of NYC Operations for Hardesty & Hanover, LLC, I manage infrastructure projects for bridges and highways that have included the Roslyn Viaduct, Robert Moses Causeway, and the Smith Point, George Washington, Verrazano, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queensboro bridges. I retired from my parish earlier this year but I continue to be involved in the church in various ways including leading worship on Sunday mornings. Greetings from Peter Mackey
Fifty years ago, I left my friends at St. Mary’s and in Uniondale for Manhattan College in the
Bronx. I learned some things there, and as my father predicted, had the time of my life. Gave
up running in favor of pick-up basketball. Enjoyed the Mets, Jets and Knicks championships
during freshman year. Little did we know, there would be very few repeats. Enjoyed many rock
concerts in the city and college basketball games at Madison Square Garden. Majored in
Economics.
Like most of us, I was fortunate to have a student deferment from the draft. My lottery
number was 6, so had Tricky Dick not ended the draft in January 1973, I would have likely been
on my way to Vietnam shortly after graduating in May.
I went to work for Canadian Pacific Railway in Manhattan in September 1973. Then onto the US
Treasury Dept. in 1974. Transferred to Washington in early 1976. Lived with the infamous John
Roche in Columbia MD before marrying Joanne Fusco of Glen Cove in Sept. and moving to
Arlington, VA. Amazing that we both survived (Roche, that is). Joanne worked in banking until
1986, when the challenges of child raising (Alison, 1982 and Colleen, 1984) became too much. I
received an MBA in Finance from George Washington University in 1980 and became a
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 1983. I stayed at Treasury in a variety of jobs until 1988.
Then I joined a new federal agency to start the investment program for the Thrift Savings Plan
for federal employees. I went back to Treasury 1999-2004 to set up an investment program in
connection with the federal bailout of the DC government; the law required Treasury to pay a
portion of the pension benefits for DC teachers, police, firefighters and judges. Then moved to
Charlottesville, VA to manage exam development for CFA Institute. Among many great aspects
of this job, I got to truly travel the world. Semi-retired at the end of 2017, and now work as a
testing consultant. I ran a lot of road races from 5k’s to marathons, in the 80’s until just
recently. Time to find some gentler exercise.
We live in Keswick, outside Charlottesville VA. I’m not sure where we’ll go next. Daughters are
doing fine – Alison is a special needs teacher in Alexandra VA and Colleen works in strategic
planning for Regeneron in Tarrytown, NY. She is married to Brian and they have two wonderful
children, Maeve, 3 and Tennessee, 1. All of my siblings and most of Joanne’s stayed in the NY
area. Alison’s and Colleen’s many cousins are in NY, building careers and starting the next
generation. We visit NY regularly, but the grandchildren now dominate our schedule. We still
travel to other places occasionally. Life’s only regret is missing our 50 th Gael reunion. I have to
be in Italy. Best wishes for many more years of good health with the wind at your backs.
Following graduation from Notre Dame in 1973, along with several other Saint Mary's High School '69 classmates, I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Untied States Marine Corps, retiring as a Colonel in 2005 upon returning from service in Iraq, and after almost 32-years of continuous active duty. Nancy and I married in May 1975 and, after I completed Naval Flight School in Pensacola, FL that same summer, we moved wherever the Marine Corps sent us. We have called duty stations in Florida, California (welcomed son #1), Hawaii (welcomed son #2), North Carolina (welcomed son #3), Virginia, (welcomed daughter #1), Okinawa Japan, North Carolina again, Virginia again, Annapolis MD, Seoul Korea, and Carlisle PA our "Home" while serving as a Marine Family. Nancy and I now live in Mechanicsburg, PA and our four adult children and three growing grandchildren are taking their turns making a difference. The time has passed so quickly, and I look forward to reuniting with my Saint Mary's classmates again.
International Management Consultant, Executive Coach, Leadership Trainer. Married, 2 children, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. Golfer, barbershop show chorus member, reader, political activist. Can’t wait to see you all!
After getting my degrees from NYU in aerospace engineering I began a long career, the highlight of which was working at KSC and JSC as part of the Space Shuttle Launch Team. I was then appointed to President Reagan's Challenger Accident Investigative Council. After living in Florida, Texas and Maryland I returned to NY and entered the IT world. I have been retired since 2009, living in Fort Salonga on LI's beautiful north shore with my wife of 43 years, Leslie.
After law school, I moved to Los Angeles, California, and spent more than 40 years practicing media and IP law with my small firm. Our firm just merged its practice into a national firm, Ballard Spahr. Ann and I have been married since 1985, and have three adult children who are our primary contribution to civilization. I still enjoy tennis, golf, history, literature, and the occasional gin and tonic. I hope to attend the reunion, and wish the very best to all of the Class of 1969. Imagine how different it would have been if our classes were coed!
(Judy and I on our cruise to Bermuda with the wine steward, Randy, a great guy!)
Got a call from Vinnie Cox Friday afternoon pertaining to the 69 reunion, I went to the website and noticed under the MIA tab I am reported as an MIA. Actually I'm still around, I am retired after a 32 year career as a Safety Specialist for several commercial insurance companies, I relocated to Baldwinsville, NY in 1996 just a stone's throw away from Syracuse) where my wife Judy and I raised our son and daughter., who are now working for a Toronto based video production company (my son Tom) and as a Physician's Assistant in Rochester (my daughter Anne Marie). In September 2019 we put our house up for sale and have moved into a 55 and older adult community in Webster, very close to my daughter's family and our two granddaughters, Mara (4) and Mila (2). My address is 1001A Skylark Pl, Webster, NY 14580. Won't be attending the reunion but am enjoying the website. By the way Vinnie Apicella lives at the same address he's lived at since 1951, he's a successful attorney.
Retired and living in New Jersey (no eye rolls, it happens). We have two children and five grandchildren under the age of 11 all nearby. That said, we travel a lot! Life is all about balance.
Happily retired for two years after thirty years teaching elementary school. We are still celebrating the arrival of our first grandchild who is eight months old. Looking forward to catching up with all of the Class of ‘69.
Retired. Married to Pamela. Two step kids who are now adults. Four grandkids. Moved from Ft. Lauderdale to upstate South Carolina. Live at the Cliffs at Mountain Park...not far from Greenville and Ashville. Active community with lots of golf. Wellness, friends, social events, community service, classes at Furmann University. Life is good.
Moved to Vermont with my husband, Greg, in the 70's. We found an 1823 house with a beautiful, babbling brook in the back and here we still are. We got teaching jobs and had two wonderful sons. We now have 4 grandchildren, going on 5!
Vermont meant wood fires, down jackets, downhill ski meets, cross-country ski meets, beautiful seasons, big garden, good friends and small town life. We also managed to buy a second-hand sailboat and would stay for several days at a time on Lake Champlain, swimming, sunning and toasting the beautiful sunsets over the NY Adirondacks.
But I love my visits to NY....summer visits to family and friends and some LI beach. Looking forward to our 50th reunion! What a great class we have! I will never forget our 50th birthday party and our toasts to each other. Always fun to get together. Glad we have 3 days for this one. One wouldn't be enough! Lots of friends to spend time with! Thank you to all who worked to make this happen and kudos to Mike for making us our class website! It's a treasure!
Recently retired after working as Office Manager in an architect's office, then as Assistant to the Executive Director of a non-profit. Liiving in upstate NY outside Albany since 1973 when I got married. Dan and I have two sons, three grands, and three step-grands....all living nearby which has been wonderful. And Sally Zullo-Keeney has lived only six miles away for the last seven years! We are lucky to have a small summer cottage on Kinderhook Lake in Columbia County, NY where we all gather. I do occasional work for the non-profit, but from home. :-) My husband, also retired, also works occasionally, for his previous architecture business. Life is good...filled with fun, friends, and loved ones.

Retired in southern CA beach town. married for 40 years Staying active with many outdoor activities. Travel quite a bit with one daughter in London and one in Boston.
Have lived in North Carolina since attending NC State University. How I ended up here remains a mystery to me (!?!), and I still think of myself as a New Yorker. Studied Forestry and Wildlife Biology with focus on birds. Retired after 34 years as Nature Educator with Raleigh Parks, where I set up nature and adventure programs, and then NC Museum of Natural Sciences where I was Coordinator of the Naturalist Center. Adjunct at NCSU for 25 years teaching Outdoor Recreation Management and Park Interpretation, and also leading wildlife students on Tropical Ecology excursions to a coffee plantation in Nicaragua. How I ended up being a Science Educator? I credit Br. Jerry Cuyler , our chemistry teacher at St. Marys.
Still involved with bird banding projects and leading nature-focused field trips, but finding I now prefer travel, time spent with friends, and chasing grasshoppers with the grandkids. Mary Beth and I have been married for 27 years; we share three kids, and four grandkids here in Raleigh. So far it’s been a pretty good life.
Looking forward to seeing y’all at our 50th!
